The next time we all set up camp I had my own tent again, and as basic as it was it felt good to have my own space. Aleks was no so eager to talk to me now he knew I was not interested in him, and none of the others were interested in getting to know me. The only people that did speak to me were Rayden and Jayne, and I think that was largely because Rayden wanted to keep me away from Ares. I wasn’t happy seeing Ares and Zaahra walking together as we traveled, but ignoring it was my only option. It made it easier for both of us if I didn’t try to catch Ares’ attention.
