I waited alone in the tent for most of the night, and I was thankful to Aleks for the fact he had given me some books back at the human town because I would have had nothing to do if it wasn’t for that. Ares had been surprised by the fact I was able to read, and I had been offended by that at the time, but I couldn’t blame him for assuming I had never encountered books before.
