The storm was bad enough by the time we got back to the others that nobody was sitting out in the open and it was obvious we were not going to be talking to anybody tonight. It was late enough that many of the pack were sleeping, despite the rumbling of thunder, and those who were awake did not start to talk about us when we got back - they were too invested in the private moments that they had been enjoying before we got back to focus on anything else. We were both soaked through from the rain and I was thankful that Ares had thought to bring a blanket when we picked things up for us, because that was the only reason my dress wasn’t utterly ruined and my hair had not ended up drenched.
