Chapter Sixty-Five

Gemma handed Tanya the glass of white wine; they’d finally finished clearing up after the party. One of Lisa’s friends was staying over and Tanya had been worried that it would be a classic “non-sleeping” sleepover, but when she’d checked ten minutes earlier both girls were out cold. They were sleeping in the guest annex over Tanya’s garage so the adults wouldn’t be disturbed by any giggling. But the way they looked there wouldn’t be a sound out of them tonight!
“Oh God! Thanks, Sis!” Tanya said, taking a big sip of the wine.
“Lisa is such a cutie!” Gemma chuckled. “I overheard her talking to one of the girls – was it Chloe, in the nice red dress? They were talking about which of the boys in class was the best kisser!”
“Oh my word!”
