I was nervous as I stood in front of her door. I was scared but I didn’t want anyone to know it. Maggie had already told me that today was going to be hard. She had spent the whole of yesterday with Levana, talking, and now it was my time to admit my truth. I raised my hand and finally knocked on the door. Seconds later, she opened the door and smiled softly.
“I had been wondering when you would knock,” she teased, and I chuckled to cover my embarrassment and anxiousness. Levana stood aside and I went in. “Would you like some tea?” she asked but I shook my head as I went straight to the dark brown armchair and sat down.
