At Kate’s request, Sam called in a couple favors. Soon they were all gathered in Kate’s office on the floor above the Rockefeller Center studio. She thought it unlikely that the NYPD would raid her office again after their failure with Paul and Rikka.
She’d braced for the worst, but Mac must have sent someone in to clean it up. Everything was righted and put back together. They’d installed a new computer and even put new glass over the photo of her with Julia, though there was now a crease across one corner.
