Kate had Paul track down Mac Olson, Cooks Network’s senior floor director, and have him come up to the studio control room. He’d been the one working the taping of Kate’s Kitchen from Hell.
Thankfully, Mac was in the building and arrived quickly. It saved her from thinking too much about quite how appropriate that show title was at the moment.
Paul led him into the control room.
Mac froze on seeing Kate. She was watching his round face carefully and saw shock, but no dismay. Instead, the instant he recovered Mac rushed up to her all aflutter and hugged her three separate times, hating to let go.
