Chapter 61 Sam sighed. He’d thought he was done with Kate and company. They were getting awfully predictable. Ten p.m. and once again no visit from Devlin. They were here. Sam held the same long-handled lamb cleaver his grandfather had forged seventy years ago and considered. He waited for them all to enter. Three trips to his alarm, but four entered. None with the soft step of Erika Albert. Kate. The only one other than Devlin well enough trained to spot and avoid the innermost alarm. Shit! He closed his eyes searching for strength. Not finding the kind of strength he was seeking, he slammed the curved blade down and neatly severed the lamb’s head at the base of the neck.
