Abbotsford, Canada 2018 Mia awoke to the familiar snores that sent her heart leaping in her chest. The sun’s rays gleamed in her eyes, feeling her entire body aching from head to toe. There was a splitting ringing in the back of her head and she felt a twinge in her side. Attempting to look towards the culprit of the snoring, she screeched at the pain in her shoulder when she turned her next. The snoring abruptly ceased, a morning grunt hitting her ear. “Mi querida, rest,” Rex cooed in a deep, husky voice.
