After a busy day for both of us Mona and I were preparing dinner, silently. One would have thought we were not cool from the uncommon silence, together the two of us were annoying in the sense that we couldn't keep our lips tight to each other. But that evening, we just didn't have anything to say to each other or we were waiting for one of us to spark a conversation out of nowhere. Personally I had a lot to tell her and my guess was she had to go first. We both went on dates but hers had the most juice, mine ended with me in the hospital.
"This is weird" I said.
She took a loud sigh of relief looking in my direction.
"Girl we need to talk about us never getting so pissed off at each other that we can't talk"
"That shouldn't happen"
