“Is everything ok?” I looked at Alex worriedly as Nadia and Nathan continued to play happily, making sandcastles and shrieking with laughter as they did so.
Alex ended his call and glanced over at me with a small sigh.
“There has been some development with Tara’s progress,” he said.
“She awake, isn't she?” I growler, getting up from the deck chair and scrambling my stuff together. Alex touched my shoulder and urged me to listen to him. All I could think about was returning home and having it out with her. Although the holiday was lovely, I could not fully enjoy it knowing that she was back in my life and she held the answers to questions that I needed answers to.
