I sat down on Abby’s porch.
I was serious about not leaving until she opened the door.
But I hoped that she would listen and actually open it because I hadn’t really thought my plan through.
At first, I thought I’d finally cracked through and she would open the door, but I gasped in shock when she closed the curtains.
But at least, she wasn’t with Landon anymore.
As I sat down there, I dialed her number.
She didn’t respond.
Instead, she sent me a text.
[You're going to get insect bites. I think you should go home and stop wasting your time here.]
My heart broke.
Was she being serious?
I’d just poured my whole heart into her and she still didn’t have any sympathy for me. I knew I had done something wrong but she was being heartless.
