“If you can’t handle seeing me with another man, then why’d you agree to date me even when you knew I was with your brother?” I asked Landon as I slid off his desk slowly.
He let out his breath. “Because I know I can’t move on from you,” he admitted, his voice raw. “I haven’t known you for a long time but I know that you are something special.”
I still found it baffling that both of them agreed to be with me even after finding out about each other.
I always wondered what was so special about me. Sometimes, I felt it wasn’t even about me. It was just about their ego and none of them wanted to lose.
Maybe I was just a pawn in their game.
I paused for a while, then I looked at him. “Special?” I asked and he nodded. “How am I special?”
