I laid back down, staring at the ceiling, knowing that there was something wrong. Knowing that there is a piece to the puzzle that I’m missing. And where the hell are my parents? They weren’t in that town. They haven’t made any threats that I’m aware of.
I know they’ve increased patrols but that’s just standard and basic because of what happened to me.
So there was definitely more to the story that I couldn’t explain. But I would have to figure it out, even if it meant tearing apart every lead, every scrap of information, every shadow that might hide the truth. Answers were out there, and I wasn’t about to let them slip past me.
