“Yeah. He is. He’s in that meeting with your dad.” I said. “Oh. Well, you seem to already know more about this pack than I do.” He said, pushing past me as he walked inside. “Gage. Can we please talk?” I asked. “I have nothing to say to you. Please, just leave.” He said, walking up the stairs. I watched him as he left and I turned around and walked out the front door and all the way back to my house. The look in Gage’s eye was horrible. I’d never seen him look at me like that before and I hated it. We needed to get back on the same page here but we couldn’t do that if he wouldn’t even talk to me. Asher didn’t want to tell him that we are mates yet. He thinks that it might send Gage over the edge. A few days ago I would said that that it wouldn’t. Gage would be happy for me.
