When I woke up the following morning I was lying on my side and I was happy to feel Asher’s arm wrapped around my waist from behind me.
The sun was just rising over the treeline so I knew that it was early but listening to Asher’s breathing, I knew that he was awake.
He tightened his grip around me before he rolled me over onto my back and he rested on his elbow to look down at me.
“Morning.” He said.
“Morning.” I said. And he leaned down to kiss me.
I felt him rubbing his thumb along my neck. The same spot that he was going to mark me.
I guess he figured that I wasn’t ready for it last night. But I knew that he was more worried about hurting me or making me uncomfortable. That’s what I could feel from him.
But I wrapped my arms around his neck and deepened the kiss.
