I shut the TV off and cursed. I never even made it to Cleveland. I waited for Lynlee in the lobby for over an hour. Eventually, I had to go to the bathroom. When I came back, I asked the desk if Lynlee Scott had come down to check out yet, and they told me she had left long ago.
She wasn’t in the hotel. She wasn’t at the airport.
I broke down and called Seguin for her number. It went straight to voicemail. Luckily, my unaccounted absence was overshadowing the circulating videos on social media of the club fiasco, for now.
