I sobbed and looked around, grateful to see that I hadn't been followed. Part of me was hesitant but another part of me wanted to take a risk. Did I dare, leave the enchanted forest, just for a little bit and reside in the human world for a few measly hours? I wanted to experience the human world and what it had to offer. Before I could talk myself out of it, I pulled down the barrier and stepped out, putting the barrier back up behind me. The wolf looked surprised to see that I had chosen to go to its side. I flung myself at it, hugging it tight as it let out a low whine, sensing my distress.
