I sat towards the corner of the room, my eyes drifting across the couples cuddling on couches all around me as Rylan belted out the song Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper.
Gabriella apparently bought him the karaoke machine for Christmas, and everyone is suffering for it. I actually don't mind. My brother in law Jamie, on the other hand, does. I can see the look he is giving my sister and the disbelief that she would betray him like that is very clear on his face.
I can also see the love he has for her, and honestly, it makes me very happy. Seeing my sister loved so wholly and unconditionally makes my heart swell with happiness for her, and I hope it stays that way for the rest of their lives.
If anyone deserved a happy ending, it's her.
