The ring sat on Alicia’s thumb, and she twiddled with it, unable to look away from the gemstone. She was quite certain Rowan was speaking to her while they sped away from Blue Crescent but she couldn’t help it. The energy of the ring was so compelling.
‘Your strength is increasing,’ Alpine noted.
Usually, her wolf would scold her if she did anything that might upset their mate. But Alpine was just as enamoured by the power and intrigued with what was happening to Alicia’s body to comment.
“Alicia?” Rowan cupped Alicia’s cheek, startling her to look at him. He could feel something different about her. A power that was quietly radiating off her.
