Isla They were riding down through the mountains of the North Carolina Nantahala National Park, and she could see at times the pack down off in the distance. She'd forgotten how the pack scent was of the forest that surrounded it. Even up here she felt like she was in the pack, because of the scent of the forest itself. There was still snow up here in the heights of the mountains, but the further that they descended the mountain the less it became, and eventually gave way to an all green densely populated forest. The trail they were on was used by hikers and teens from the human world out riding on their dirt bikes. They did come across two girls out here riding their own horses, through the lower parts of the forest, and those girls stopped and stared at them. It was common for wolves
