It had been a whole month here in Nightingale and she and the troop were doing much better, had settled into their life here. They could now eat whatever they wanted without concern. They had gotten used to fresh fruits and vegetables, and they could drink both tea and coffee. That was nice, but they all drank cold brew, not hot coffee.
They still walked up to the café by the park every day to get a cold beverage. Kimber was in the kitchen with Isla now for nearly every meal, helping to cook. Apparently, she loved cooking as much as Isla did and those two had bonded quite well over talking about meals and what to make. Isla learned a lot from Kimber about wolfen realm foods and what goes with what, or how to prepare some of the weird-looking vegetables.
