It seemed like only a minute passed. When Erik opened his eyes, it was already bright and there was a presence with him in the room. He looked up to see Corrine watching him with a smile. “I thought I’m here dreaming about watching you sleep.” He immediately sat up as he stared at her with a frown, “What? Wait, you’re here? How are you back already? Has a week passed?” He’s totally confused. Didn’t she leave this morning? Didn’t they agree that she’ll try to come back in a week? Even that wasn’t certain. Corrine then showed him a serious expression. “I’m not sure. I’ve checked, there’s no one else in the castle except for you and me. I initially thought it must be a dream. I just went to bed and I’m sure I’m still sleeping.” Erik pinched his arm and Corrine chuckled when he winced.
