Chapter 38.: Shared nightmare

“Look who we have here.” The voice brought chills running down Avery’s spine. She woke up early in the morning, before sunlight, to attend duties they assigned her in the kitchen. Every morning she had to be present, help other humans aka slaves prepare the breakfast for the entire pack and partially help with the lunch. After she finished her duties there, she went to the packing house, cleaning it from up to down. Thanks to her young age, Avery could do less heavy work than some other of her fellow slaves in the pack. Those older ones had harder jobs.
