“This should be far enough.” Kayen followed Avery deep into the woods. They didn’t go too far, since Liam wanted them to stay close for Avery’s safety. They still needed to gain some distance from the pack just in case Avery would lose control over her powers or simply overuse her abilities.
“Are you sure?” Avery looked back toward the pack. She wanted to test her powers, but she feared hurting anyone in the pack.
“I am quite sure. The distance between us and the pack is already triple what the strongest sorcerer can cross with a destruction spell.” Kayen explained to her, earning instantly her undivided attention. She wished to know more about magic. She wanted to know how it worked, what she could do with her newly found powers.
