“Is something wrong?” Liam asked Avery. She sat on a tree trunk outside of the pack, in the woods. Liam searched for her about an hour before the guards reported she had left the pack. She watched the scenery in front of her. Liam found her eyes focused on something invisible and, despite her attempt to cloak her mind, he felt uncertainty in her.
She didn’t move when hearing Liam. Avery didn’t reply to him either. She just sat there. Her eyes were empty when Liam came closer to her.
“Avery.” Liam touched her shoulder to get her attention. Avery nearly jumped out of her skin from the surprise Liam gave her. “Something is bothering you.” He stated instead of asking. He could guess that much already.
