“Then are you planning to bring her to the party?”
This is what I was waiting for, and proved me right for thinking about this earlier. Of course, it was only right that my mother mentioned Lady Juliana’s upcoming ball, but this conversation just continues to amuse me.
“I am.”
She sighed again, as if feeling the same tiredness I felt of how stubborn this situation is going. “Do you know that you just declared that you’re already considering marriage with that woman?”
