It has been a week and my conversation with Student Council President Elijah still lingers in mind; it was hard not to. It was about Lara and the more I think about it, the more it makes me feel like it is bound to happen whether I like it or not. Again, stopping myself from thinking about it was hard and there is nothing more I can do about it at this point.
Elijah asked a question that I did not realize I was not really ready to answer, contrary to what I did because I answered without batting an eye or even letting the question sink in a little longer. It was a mistake. Answering that question so carelessly and easily was my mistake.
He asked what I would do if Lara suddenly needed to go somewhere—such a simple question from the moment you would hear it.
