Calister brushed past her to Jordan and tried to hold his hand, but got pushed away by him. His eyes brimmed with hatred as he stared at her.
"You said you'll love me till the end of the world! You said we were meant to stay together! You even promised to shield me when things go wrong with the ritual! But look at you going back on all your damn promises!" The man hurled out.
Calister felt her heart sink, but couldn't say anything as tears trailed down her face.
"I'm sorry." She managed to muffle out, but that didn't change the man's perspective of her. "That's the same thing you always say and yet you'll always do things behind my back! I hate you!"
