I was thrilled to be back at work and the smell of old and new books made me smile as I pushed the book trolley to the next row. I hadn’t even realized how much I had missed doing normal, everyday things. Working at the library. Going to college and studying. It all felt so surreal and while many of the townsfolk stared at me, it was still nice to be officially back.
“Hey,” I glanced over my shoulder to see Ben standing behind me. I couldn’t help but smile. Ben had been a massive part of my life for so long and while Dylan was my mate, I had missed Ben too.
