It was the strangest thing, but I did my best to hide my reaction as I sat down next to Grant. The Mayor sat across from Evan, the Sheriff sat across from Jack and the Ranger sat across from Grant. The only other person in the room that was sort of out of place was myself. The small conference room was rather plain and there wasn’t anything to be impressed by. However, being in the small space with them was strange.
“Right, let’s begin,” the Mayor said as he opened a folder. Oddly enough, I recognized it from Evan’s office. “This is operation ‘Clear Out Oakville’,” he then stated.
