I stopped worrying about when Mara was going to give me back control. She was having far too much fun with the others. While no one else shifted into their wolf form, the younger ones didn’t have any problems chasing Mara around.
“I think I am ready,” Mara suddenly said, and I snapped out of my daydreaming. I wasn’t sure to what she was referring to, so I just hummed in response. The pain wasn’t as bad as it had been four nights ago, but it was still pretty painful, and it was then that I understood what she had meant by ‘I think I am ready’.
