“Are you nervous at all?” I questioned casually. Shane side-eyed me for a moment before he looked back out the window.
“A little,” he admitted, and I smiled.
“What are you the most nervous about?” Shane didn’t respond right away, so I took the long way to Heather’s place.
“Everything,” Shane muttered, and I was just about to ask him to explain when he continued. “This is…technically…my first time being on my own. I know you aren’t far away and that helps, but…I’ll be living with my mate, and…she may suspect that she is and that makes it feel like…so much pressure,” I nodded at that as I kept my eyes on the road. “It’s like…I want to tell her, but she isn’t ready. Even if she thinks she is, she isn’t,”
“How do you know?” I asked curiously and Shane scoffed.
