HARPER POV The white wolf’s snarl tore through the forest like thunder, rattling through my bones. It was not just sound, it was a menace —raw, lethal, undeniable. My heart lurched, stuttering in my chest as he lunged toward Moloch with his massive frame, teeth bared and gleaming like ivory blades in the dim light. The demon’s fire flared, a blazing whip arcing straight toward him, its heat searing the hairs on my arms even from a distance, the crack of it splitting the air like a thunderclap. But the wolf was quicker—impossibly quicker—moving with a blur of snow and muscle, the sharp snap of his jaws slicing through the roar of flames.
