Coop was obviously shutting himself away now. Though I had no idea why.
I had Ben pop in every hour on the hour to see if I was OK.
Then Ma came to feed me.
Even his housekeeper the next day cleaned the room.
I’d been waiting for him for nearly a day now. Since he left for his cold shower and didn’t return to bed I knew he hadn’t slept next to me.
Then Ben started knocking on the door, so something was definitely up. As he was just coming on in before, maybe he thought Coop was back?
