I came awake instantly, I jumped up in a panic. It took me a while to work out where I was and what the hell was going on.
My mind still thinks I’m at the coral reef sometimes.
Instinctively I search my bond with Coop, fragile but there. Relief flooded through me; I hadn’t even realised how upset I was.
I knew I had to do this, but my heart wanted love. It wanted long Sunday mornings in Coops big bed, snuggled in. I didn’t mean to let out a cry, but I just couldn’t hold it in any longer. One second later I’m a ball of ugly crying and snot.
Warm hugs surround me, they all circle me with love and support.
“I’m so sorry Kasy, you can talk to us.” Dawn says as her calming energy flows through me.
