Josiah “Welcome,” Felicity said loudly as the chatter settled down. “On behalf of Josiah Black, I would like to thank all of you for coming out here today,” I smiled uncomfortably as everyone looked at me. Today was a big deal and I was nervous. This could go either way for me, and I wasn’t sure how to feel about it. “The floor is yours,” Felicity then said to me, and I awkwardly stood up and headed for the podium. I nervously looked out at the crowd Felicity had gathered and tried to relax. “Thank you all,” I murmured into the mic. “I don’t know why I’m so nervous to stand before all of you today.” No one said anything which was to be expected, they were my audience, my witnesses, my jury.
