Chapter 2

CHLOE

It has now been over a week since my dad found out about my training and skills I have. Diego has kicked up my training. I am loving every minute of it.

“Ok hit the Showers we’re done for today” Diego dismisses training

I am walking up to the packhouse and decide to go around back to use the backdoor since the back staircase is close to my room. As I turn the corner I stop in my tracks, I am shocked as I see Tommy having sex up against the house, only that is not April his mate he is having sex with, it is Abby the head cheerleader.

“Well, well, well, look what we have here,” I say

causing the two of them to jump apart and pull up their clothes.

“Oh, Chloe it’s just you, wait your turn, and I will be happy to give you ago to,” Tommy said winking

“You are disgusting, what about April?” I ask

“What about her?”

“Umm she is your mate hello”

“Yes, so what?”

“Yes, like serious Chloe, why would Tommy want her as a mate when she will not even let him mate with her? “I’m better for him anyways” says Abby

“You both are dicks, you know that? I hope you both get rejected”

“You better just keep your mouth shut Chloe; don’t you dare tell April” says Tommy

“Or what? What are you going to do if I tell her?”

Tommy pushes me

“You are a bitch you know that Chloe, maybe I should just teach you a lesson" Tommy comes at me,

I waste no time and take him out.

“Your pathetic, the both of you" I say walking away into the house

I have my shower grab a bagel from the kitchen than head out to my car, I think today I am going to swing by and grab a large caramel latte before school. When I reach my car, an angry April is standing there waiting for Me.

“I am not giving you a ride Amber so don’t even bother asking me,” I tell her

“I do not want a ride bitch, who do you think you are Chloe? What gave you the right to attack Tommy from behind and hurt him?”

“Excuse me? Is that what he told you? well let me tell you something April, I never attacked him from behind he attacked me, and I kicked his ass defending my self”

“You are nuts, Tommy would never attack a girl, your just so jealous that I have a mate, and you do not, you just can not stand it can you?” she yells

“Wow, is that really what you think?” I ask

“Yes, it is, you are a jealous bitch Chloe, in a couple months when you find your mate, I hope you change,”

“Your so wrong April. So wrong” I say

“No, I am right your jealous, you beat up my mate because you can not have him” April says

“I beat up your mate for trying to attack me April”

“You are such a liar, how was I ever friends with you?”

“Wow I can’t believe after all these years and the things we have gone through you would say that”

I walk around my car to the driver side

“Tommy is with the Alpha now with his dad telling him what you did, you are so going to get it, Chloe, jealousy looks horrible on you” she says

“You are so stupid April, maybe you deserve what Tommy did”

“What Tommy did? You did it” she yells

“No April I was not the one having sex with Abby behind the packhouse, oh no that was Tommy, which is why he attacked me, and I beat his ass, so enjoy your cheating mate and never come near me again” I tell her

I pull open my door get in and slam the door behind me and speed off. I am hurt, how can she think that way about me.

I grab my latte but do not even bother going to school. Instead, I head to a park and walk around to clear my head. I am tired of always getting in trouble and having to defend myself. I just want to go away and start over.

After about an hour of walking, I return to my car and flip on some music, soon I doze off.

Well, Chloe is sleeping in her car, Rogues numbering 1000s are surrounding the Opel Moon Pack's territory ready to attack.

Soon the entire Opel Moon Pack has fallen dead to the Rogues, Chloe's family, friends, and pack members all lay dead covering the ground of the territory, not a soul was left alive.

Chloe is ripped from her sleep with an overwhelming feeling of dread and fear. She feels a great loss but cannot understand why. She looks at the clock on her dashboard and sees it is 3 pm. She has slept the entire day.

“What is wrong with me? Why do I feel like I lost something, it is like a big void left my soul, I feel sick”?

I put my car in drive and start for home. When I get close to my pack's territory that feeling get's worse, tears start to form in my eyes, what is wrong with me? What is this feeling?

I pull into the territory and slam on my breaks. I saw the gates to the gatehouse covered in blood, I get out and call for the guards.

“Help me” came a weak whisper

I run towards the voice, Drew the head guard is barely alive.

“Drew, oh God Drew, what happened?” I asked him panicked

“Rogues, thousands of them, all gone no ones left” Drew’s head drops, he is dead.

Thousands of rogues? oh my god, I look in the direction of the packhouse and run to my car.

A Black SUV pulls in behind me and I get out to see who it is.

Out of the SUV steps my mother’s brother my uncle Alpha Victor Quinn of the Black Moon River Pack

“Uncle Victor " I say running to him

“Chloe, your alive?” Alpha Victor says

“I just got here and found the guards like this, Drew said something about thousands of rogues" I say

" Yes, I received a distress call from your mother, she was saying the same thing, before there was a scream and the line went dead, we got here as soon as we could, have you seen your parents?”

“No, I just got here, I was just about to go up to the house" I answer

"Let us go then, warriors shift, take the forest, the rest of you with me,” said Alpha Quinn

I run to my car and speed up the driveway to the packhouse, dead bodies are laying scattered on the side of the road.

I slam on my breaks at the packhouse and step out.

I fall to my knees when I see that the whole ground littered with my dead pack members. The ground soaked in their blood. Bodies of dead pups lay at the playground, elders dead in the garden, it was like they had no warning.

I ran into the house; I stop dead in my tracks.

I scream falling to the floor, as I see my mother and brother's bodies laying ripped apart in the main entranceway.

“Oh, dear god” I hear behind me

“My dear sister" Uncle Victor kneels beside me

“I’m sorry my dear so, sorry”

“The Alpha is dead across his desk Alpha Quinn,” a warrior says to him.

“It looks like they broke through his window and killed him”

I slowly get to my feet,

“They had no warning, how is that possible?” I ask

“I don’t know” Alpha Quinn says

“I don’t even smell the scent of a rogue here” I say

“What happened here?”

“Your mothers distress call said Rogue’s dear, and you your self said the guard said Rogue’s," my uncle says

" I know, but why is there no scent of rogues” why weren’t they warned? Look where they all lay dead uncle it is like they felt no danger”

“I don’t know what to say to you Chloe I just got here myself I don’t know any more than you do”

“This isn’t right, something isn’t right about any of this” I say

“Come Chloe gather your things your coming home with me”

I kiss my mother's bloodstain cheek touch my brother then go kiss my father before heading to my room. I do not care what my uncle or anyway says something is wrong here, and I will find out what it is.
