I was sitting at my desk with my headphones in the afternoon after the ball, trying to get some work done, when Knox let himself in and immediately went to the window behind me.
I pulled out my earbuds with a frown and turned to him. “What’re you doing, Knox?” My brother didn’t normally interrupt me when I was in the study, so I knew this was something important.
“They’re so f*****g loud,” he growled, his face still pressed to the glass. “Can’t they be a bit quieter? They woke me up.”
