She squinted and averted her eyes, wondering if he’d added nanotech to the fabric. “Come on, guys.” Malcolm gestured to trays of crackers, cheese, and fruit sitting on a table next to bottles of beer. “This is our victory party. Eat. Drink. Be merry! For tomorrow we may die! More likely you than me, but you know…” He shrugged at the joke. “Eat, drink, and be merry!” Erik eyed the beer with suspicion before picking up a bottle with a shrug.
