December 31, 2229, Bogota, Colombia, En Route to Talos Safe House
A light hum filled the cargo bay.
Since meeting Erik, Jia had gotten used to traveling to different places and in different ways. It didn’t strike her as odd to be in the back of a large cargo flitter surrounded by a small army equipped with cutting-edge tech. A dozen exoskeletons lined the walls, all piloted by ID agents with the exception of Erik and Jia, but even their equipment was ultimately directorate-issue. Dim red lighting kept total darkness away but left most people’s faces obscured. That wasn’t helped by most of the agents having their faceplates down.
