40. Soul sparks

1413 Words
Valentin    Today is my Angel’s birthday, and even before seeing her, I could already feel my soul growing even more drawn to her. I couldn’t wait to take her in my arms and feel the tingles and sparks for the first time, figure out what her scent is. It must be as intoxicating and sweet as her.  I flashed to Avalon’s castle, where she was having brunch with Liv, Mel, and her friends Ainhoa and Fred.  “Good morning! May I join you?” I asked and my Lea turned slowly to look at me. Our eyes met and the intensity of this meeting, of our souls recognizing one another, made time slow down its pointer. The word reverberated in me from the depths of my heart and from a primal place within me.  “MINE.”  She stood up and walked towards me quite fast. Time was running again, faster, compensating its previous little languor. Our arms were around each other; I pressed her flush against my chest and could feel sparks, tingles, crashing stars caressing my skin. And her scent, it was indeed inebriating. British rose and hot chocolate. Sweet, floral, cosy, comforting and delicious.  She looked up at me and smiled, “you smell like the Sun.” she giggled, “I didn’t know how the Sun smelled until now. But I’m pretty sure you smell like Sun and fresh rain. How do I smell to you?” I saw a little gleam of curiosity in her sunflower eyes.   I caressed her cheek with the back of my forefinger. “And you smell sweet, silky, and mouth-watering. As British Rose and hot chocolate.” I replied. She smiled. “That’s great because I love those things.”  And I was starting to love her. I was falling in love with my Lea. Even before today, even before our bond got mature.  I kept caressing her skin and she leaned down into my touch, closing her eyes slowly. “I love those things too and everything else about you,” I replied. She opened her eyes and smiled. Half warmness and half shyness. Her face slightly blushed.  “Me too. My Sun,” she said. ‘My Sun’, it was the first time that my sweet flower called me like this, my Sunflower. “I’m sorry that I interrupted your brunch, but I couldn’t wait a minute more, I had to see you. I also have to show you something.” I told her.  “It’s okay. Go with your fairy-guy, Lea. We will save some cake for you both” Liv said flashing her an encouraging smile. Mel also had a huge grin. I took my mate’s hand and flashed us to her garden, where she grows her flowers.  She gazed at me with a questioning and curious look.  “I’ve something for you, my Sunflower,” I said, as I waived my hand and called back the glamour that I’ve cast to hide her surprise present.  Lea gasped excitedly. “Oh, Goddess. So many!” she looked so happy as she saw all the seeds, flowers, and buds that I’ve brought her. There were hundreds of them spread around the free places within her garden.  “Those are mainly species that only grow in Aureum, but with some magic, I made it possible for them to be grown here as well,” I said.  She jumped in my arms and hugged me tightly. “Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I love it!” I loved to see her that happy, giggling, her eyes shining. I want to cover her with flowers, with happiness, especially after everything my poor Angel has been through.  “You know me so well.” She muttered.  “Of course, I do, my Sunflower. You are my soul.”   ~ * ~     Lea   For the first time, I felt the tingles with my Valentin, I felt as if my energy, my soul was trying to leave my body, and reach to his, and reach to its other half. And his scent, so warm, comforting, and shining. I didn’t know that a smell could feel like this before. That a smell could somehow enlace all of one’s senses.  He helped me to plant some of the seeds he brought. “I’m looking forward to seeing all the elixirs and balms I can produce with those flowers. Cali asked me to make some kind of ‘catnip’ for Morg, her chinchilla. She thinks is quite sad that Morg can’t enjoy something as good as Fairy Wine.” My mate laughed at it.  “She really loves it, doesn’t she?” he asked.  “She does. She could be the Fairy Wine ambassador in this Realm.” I chuckled.  “If she wants, she could get the job. I just have to talk to the Fairy Wine producers before.”  “That could be a good idea, I’ll talk to her.”  “Sunflower.” He called and I turned to look at him.   “Sunflower? I really like it.” I smiled and he wrapped his arms around me and kissed the tip of my nose before his lips met mine in a sweet kiss. He sat down and placed me onto his lap, as we continued kissing, breathing, feeling each other.  The sparks feel so good, everything feels so good with him. After we took our time kissing and holding each other, my Valentin looked at me and sighed sharply. His demeanour changed to one filled with worry and uneasiness.  “Sunflower, I’m quite worried about the fact that we couldn’t capture Alexus so far, he is still at large. I fear he would attempt something against you once again. You are well protected here, and we won’t leave you alone for even a minute. But I will just breath in peace after we catch him.” I breathed deeply. I may be insane, but I don’t want Alexus suffering or imprisoned, my soul still cares about his. I still care about him somehow. It doesn’t mean that I want to be with him or even near him. I just wish him happiness and peace from far away.  “So, I think we should call another meeting and discuss it with the Kings and your sister.” He added. “Yes…maybe someone has an idea, an insight on how to deal with this issue,” I said breathing deeply and looking into space.  I really hope someone, probably Elric, knows a way to solve this issue peacefully, without hurting Alexus. Valentin tightened his hold on me and kissed my forehead. “I’m sorry to bring this topic up, my Angel. But we don’t have time to lose. Now, let’s enjoy more of your day. Liv said that she would save some cake for us.” He uttered and I smiled at him.  “That’s a great idea,” I replied. I really need some caramel cheesecake cake with hot chocolate right now.  ~ * ~   Alexus   I felt something stirring inside me. An urge, a call. Within all my coldness there was something burning. Burning for her. Lea. Did she already attain mating age? Is she already 18?  I was quite lost time-wisely lately; since I’ve had to flee my own castle and hide in my own Realm, in the day after my return. The fairy, the mutt, Avalon, and the elf sent some spies and agents to my Realm, they are trying to capture me. I’m safe at the underground little town, a place that less than a handful of vampires know about. In the few last hours, I couldn’t stop thinking about her.  I had to find a way to have her. To have Lea in my arms.  Thus, I did something I’ve never done before, something that could jeopardize my hiding, revealing my location to those who are hunting me. I used a very powerful dark magic to break through Avalon’s Realm protective barrier. I had to do it for her.
