38. There is no going back

Lea   After Ainhoa and Fred left, I went to the toilet. I’m so glad my friends enjoyed it here. This place is really amazing!  “Lea, are you still here?” Daisy’s voice snapped me back from my thoughts and I looked at her, surprised. “Daisy”  I didn’t expect to see her again, I guess it’s my luck. She was standing in front of the bathroom door, with a guarding stance. I don’t want to be mean, but she reminded me of Cerberus, Laius’ three-headed dog who guards his throne room in Hell.  “You don’t wonder why Valentin had s*x with me even after he met you? It’s because I’m the one he wants. He can deny, he can try to convince himself otherwise. But It will only work for a short time. He will come back to me, he always does. I was the Queen for more than 10 years. It’s a hard task, it’s not for everyone, not for the weak ones. You will fail him; you’ll fail this realm and bring darkness to our Aureum. You don’t have what it takes. Always remember I AM the chosen one!” She left in a flash even before I could answer her.  More than her words, the way she said them shocked me. She sounded haunted. I should be angry at her, but there was something unsettling about her, the way she spoke; that made me actually feel bad for her. She looked different than the last time we met, she looked sleepless, disturbed. She was really hurt, but her words surprisingly didn’t carry any bitterness. They carried something else, but I can’t exactly pinpoint what.  I breathed deeply and decided that I won’t let her bully me and get into my skin. I just hope my overthinking mind and my jumpy heart do their part in sticking to this decision. After doing my business, I went back to the living room and Valentin guided me to his bedroom.  After many kisses and sweet caresses, I slept in the warmness of his embrace.  ~ * ~ The next day, after breakfast we went to do sightseeing in the surrounding. I just couldn’t wait any minute longer to see everything in this beautiful Realm. I looked around the magenta-pink forest, where lush and very tall trees with magenta-pink leaves stood; this colour and the amazing aroma of the flowers surrounded us. This place is so beautiful and magical.  Valentin took me in his arms, dipping me backward and capturing my lips with his.  Does he want to kiss me here in the middle of the forest? I wondered, while I still could think clearly.  His tongue invaded my mouth, caressing mine in a possessive way, as he tightened his hold on me, dipping his fingers on my clothed flash. He sucked and even nibbed my bottom lip and I could feel a heated wave going down to my lady parts.  Oh, Goddess, he will be able to smell my desire. I was getting quite embarrassed. But he didn’t give me time, nor space to feel shy, as he took my breath away. He laid me down on the grass slowly and hovered over me, my legs opened almost automatically for him to lay between them. Soft moans left my mouth into Valentin’s. He reached his hands down, caressing my sides gently.  The contrast between the gentle strokes and the passionate kiss, made my womb and my other things clench, pulse. I’m melting, I am becoming liquid Lea. In. The. Forest. What if someone walks in?!  “Relax, Angel.” He said against my lips before he resumed kissing me. I tasted his tongue, his lips, every corner of my mouth, growing bolder in our shared passion. Oh, Valentin! How crazy I am for you… How bad I have it for you! His mouth traced a way of pleasure down my jaw and lingered on my neck.  His warm and moistened kisses were making my body and even my breath shiver. “Valentin.” I cried out.  “Angel.” He replied in a husky voice against the skin of my neck.  “What if anyone sees us?” I asked. “Can’t you feel the excitement at the risk of being caught?” he asked, shocking me a bit. What? “I…I don’t know,” I muttered confused. His hands reached up, he ran his fingers through my hair and caressed my face.  “Don’t worry, no one comes to this part of the forest. Almost no one.” He chuckled. His mouth went down to my collar bone and it just felt so good, that I couldn’t worry anymore. The only thing I could feel was pleasure, desire. He licked a straight line across my skin, making me moan.  Valentin pressed his bulge against my lady parts, and I felt an unknown heat explode in my veins. I felt hotter than ever, too hot as if I could explode at any minute. My body was so tense, and each nerve end was super aware.  Aware of his tongue caressing the curve of my neck.  Aware of his hands roaming around my waist  Aware of the feeling of his golden locks curled around my fingers, as my arms were enlaced around his neck.  I pulled his face up and looked into his eyes, they were dark with desire. He wanted more. My body wanted more. But… He kissed my face gently, “Are you alright Lea, is it too much for you?” he asked as a line of concern creased his forehead.  “I don’t know…” I muttered honestly. My voice sounded so raw and my breath was still coming out in pants. I felt as if my body won’t ever calm down, relax again as if there was no going back from the way of desire and passion I was pacing.  After I could start breathing normally again, we walked across the forest of pink tall trees; through the natural carpet made of fallen autumn petals and leaves, until we reached the shore of the river that cascades from the palace’s gate. The water was shining blue. “The water here has certain calming properties, maybe you can use it in some of your balms,” Valentin suggested and I smiled.  “That would be great! Conrad is right, Aureum is the most beautiful Realm, it’s incredible. I want to see everything, know about everything!” I giggled. “You will.  How about seeing everything from above?” “You mean back from the palace’s window?” “No, I mean flying.”  “On the winged horse?” I asked looking at the group of these beautiful animals pacing nearby. “No, on me... with me.” Valentin corrected himself. I gazed at him with a confused look. “Fae people have wings, I thought you knew that.”  “Oh, I didn’t. But that’s great. I would love to fly with you.” How did I miss this fact? Valentin closed his eyes, and a dainty light surrounded his back for a second before beautiful golden wings grew from his shoulders. They weren’t like bird or butterfly wings, they were made of a different material, something warm and light, but that didn’t hurt the eyes.  He took me in his embrace and soon our feet were hovering over the ground.  “Higher?” He asked looking at me.  “Yes! As high as possible!” I squealed.  He tightened his grasp around me, and we flew over the river, the pink forest, the beautiful and wide flower garden. It was so colourful especially from above.  “That’s my mom’s, Queen Isidra’s garden. She loved it so much.” My mate said with a smile.  “It’s very beautiful” the flowers were arranged by colours in circles, in rings, and a crystal fountain was placed in the middle of the smaller circle.  I also could see the castle above us, and we passed so close to the waterfall that some drops of water splashed on me.  “Do you want to see some of the unique creatures and plants that we only have here in this Realm?”  “Of course!” I think my eyes were shining with excitement. This Realm is incredible!  “Some Fae people mate while flying. Maybe we could try it one day.” He said with an undertone of desire and soon he caressed his lips on mine, making me melt in a sweet and passionate kiss. I grabbed his shoulders firmly, holding on for dear life.  “If you fall, I’ll catch you.” He muttered, pressing me against his chest. “Although, I won’t ever let you fall from my arms.” His voice was warm and laced with an emotion I couldn’t pinpoint. I moulded my lips against his and kissed him again.  “I know you won’t,” I uttered looking up at his sky-blue eyes.  We went higher, flying over the castle and a very beautiful and colourful village; Fae and even some elves were walking around the stone-paved narrow streets.  “The Royal Castle is called Rosiclear Castle; it and the core of the capital village are floating one thousand meters above the ground. It’s not a problem for anyone, since every Fae has wings and the elves mated to the Fae folks who live there can flash around. It was originally built like this as a form of defence during wartime.  Aureum is not as modern as Emeraldia; instead of wipe off nature to build streets and houses, we Fae incorporate nature into the architecture. Most of the houses were built attached to trees and there are even some houses crossed by trees and huge rocks.  Most of the public and collective activities take place outdoors, even school classes and libraries. That is only possible because we always have good weather. There wasn’t ever a grey day at Aureum. The sun always shines for the Fae.” Valentin explained.  “It’s a very beautiful village and seems quite big,” I replied, looking down at the mosaic pavements and the colourful little houses leaning in trees.  “It is. Two-thousand people live here.”  That is quite impressive! I guess the Fae people weren’t as affected by the war and slaughtered like the Elf people were.  We flew over a vast field of blue flowers.  “There are many gardens and flower fields, and you can find all kinds of animals running free and happy. They aren’t domesticated, they are just as part of this Realms as any Fae is, and not worth less than anyone.  Fae magic has an angelic hint, just as elf magic. The main difference is that elf magic is linked to the 3 elements (air, water, and earth); while Fae magic is connected to life itself, to harbour and nurture life within and outside every being. That’s why we can grow flowers and even create them and other plants with our energy. For this reason, we can also heal, by summoning life into a being and returning he or she to their balance.” He added. Every word made me even more fascinated by this Realm and its people.  “Can you create animals?” I asked.  “No, but we can summon existent ones if those animals so wish. If they answer our call. It’s ultimately their choice. There are many species of animals that only exist in our realm. As water Phoenix, it can evaporate and reborn in its own waters; we also have Lunar Panthers, their fur shines the moonlight in full-moon nights, and we used to have dragons.” His eyes went a bit cloudy as he said these words.  “Used to?” I asked looking up him at him.  “They were peaceful creatures. No animal is by nature cruel. But most of our Dragons were kidnapped by other species and groomed to be weapons in the war. It eventually brought them to extinction.” That is really sad, the War took so much from all the 6 Species and even brought animals to extinction. It was all so senseless for me. I didn’t understand why they would hurt each other and annihilate other beings that were not even part of the War in the process. Nothing justifies that.  “But I still have the hope that one of them might have survived, its egg is hidden somewhere around the Realm and couldn’t fully develop and hatch yet because of lack of heat and other necessary conditions.” He added with a smile.   ~ * ~     Valentin   “We also have the iris-bird, when they fly, they paint a rainbow in the sky with the magic of their colourful tale. We’ve winged horses, the ones we saw near the pink forest, they are called Pegasus. They are a tad larger than a normal horse and their wings are usually purple or blue, depending on their mating status. They are like us, have only one mate for life.” I looked at her expression of discomfort.  Not like us. My Angel has more than one mate and I know it’s too much for her. She doesn’t need them, not when we both fit perfectly like two pieces of a puzzle. Richard is only over-crowd and Alexus is a heartless monster! “Like most of us.” I corrected myself and she flashed me a coy smile. We went down and I took my Lea by her hand, as we walked around the flower field.  “Those are crystal flowers,” I told her, as she took a translucid blue flower in her hands without picking it. “And those are Vanessas, they are butterflies during the day and flowers during the night,” I told her as I saw a beautiful lilac-Vanessa flying close by.   “That’s amazing!” She said giggling excitedly following the butterfly movements with her finger until the Vanessa landed on her hand. Her smile lit up even more. I am so glad she is enjoying her time here, that she likes Aureum. I hope she can feel at home in our Realm.  After walking around and admiring my Lea looking at everything with shining eyes of curiosity and wonder, we reached the end of the flower field, where we saw some Fae children play the flute.  “Fae people love art, especially music. We hold music festivals, recitals and concerts almost on a daily basis, everyone can join them and share their passions.”  “That seems great! I can’t play anything, but my mom used to play the piano in our old cottage, she was quite good. It’s a pity she doesn’t play anymore.” Lea said looking slightly down.  “Maybe we can bring her to the music festivals for some inspiration,” I suggested as I cupped my mate’s pretty and delicate face. She smiled at me and placed her hand over mine. “That would be great.”  “They will have a concert tonight. Do you want to go with me?”  “Yes!!” she said excitedly.  I was quite excited; in a couple of days my Angel will be 18 and we will finally be able to feel the mate pull in its real extension. I will be even more drawn to her, our touch will entice magic and our souls will be trying to break through the surface of our skins to meet each other, in an attempt to be one.    ~ * ~     Lea   After I went back to the castle, I told Ainhoa about everything I saw. She was beyond excited.  “How was the second day with your valentine?” Ainhoa teased.  “Was great, I love Aureum and Valentin is wonderful… but I’ve seen Daisy again. She was waiting by the toilet door. It was super weird!” My best friend sighed in annoyance. “Why don’t you tell Valentin to shove this female away?”  “The Fae Court is her home. I can’t ask him to kick her out of her home, especially when she’s not fine. She’s not well, Ainhoa. I think she’s sick or something. She lost her lover; I can’t take her home as well.” I said. Ainhoa looked away for a moment, “Do you think she is only unwell because of Valentin or there is something else there?”  “I think it may be something else there… she looked haunted, her eyes weren’t like before, they seemed almost… empty.”  I know Ainhoa is tough, but she has a good heart, and she would surely have some sympathy towards that female if she would have seen her. Maybe Daisy is sick or depressed. “You are right. You shouldn’t tell him to send her away. Even though I don’t trust, nor like her one bit, I understand what you mean. It will be quite petty to do it out of jealousy.” Ainhoa muttered.  “Yes, it would!” I replied.  “For me, it would only be some annoyance, that I could try and look past. I know that I’m Valentin’s present and future.” I said also trying to convince myself of the last sentence. I hope I can be a good queen for that amazing realm. “Yes! You are, he already made it clear. You both are perfect for each other, almost too sweet together!” Ainhoa chuckled. “You have nothing to worry about. That fae b***h won’t get your man.” What Daisy said about their last time having s*x, was still haunting my thoughts a bit. She’s a woman and I’m still a girl, I’m still growing to be a woman. She could give him it all and I don’t know when I’ll be able to let him mate with me. Not after what happened with King Alexus. Not when we still haven’t figure out how to complete our bond without him.  I hope we have enough time, for me to heal completely and for us to find a way to do it without him. I couldn’t even imagine seeing him again, let alone having him touching me.  I was also quite sure he was not interested in completing the bond with me anyway. And somehow, even though I didn't want it to, it hurt.
