47. My Luna Queen

Lea

I was walking to the beautiful altar, to my Richard. The place was looking very lovely today, full of white and silver flowers, even the big statue of the Moon Goddess in the back of the altar was wearing a flower crown. I wonder if She really looks like this. 

When I approached my mate, he took my hand in his and we turned to look at each other. I think I haven’t ever seen such a big smile on his face. I was also smiling from ear-to-ear, a bit anxious, but completely happy. 

We didn’t exchange any words, the happiness shining in his forest-green eyes and the joy flowing in mine moistened amber ones was enough to convey all the emotions and all the meanings of this ceremony; of me becoming finally part of his pack, of his world. 

Richard placed my left hand on top of his, palm up and cut it. He looked a bit tense while doing it, as if cutting my flash, drawing my blood was contrary to his nature; probably it’s, he is a very protective wolf. 

“Humph.” I hissed a bit at the stinging sensation, he cut his right palm and placed his cut hand on mine. 

“Repeat my words, my love.” His eyes were glowing, and his voice was very guttural, meaning that his wolf was present with us. “I, Lea Clemence Lichtstern, pledged my loyalty and allegiance to the Royal Pack, all its wolves, and the Alpha King. In doing so, I swear to protect, defend, honor, and respect this Pack and the Alpha King.”

“We, Richard Conri Lupin and my wolf Titan, the Alpha King, accept you Lea Clemence Lichtstern as a member of the Royal Pack.” 

I could feel a jolt of energy traveling through my body as soon as he said those words. The pack magic was flowing in my veins and I could feel connected to him, to them. 

“Welcome to the Royal Pack, my love!” he said as he sank a small towel on the bowl of warm water and wrapped my bleeding hand with it. He let out a loud celebratory howl, which was followed by the other wolves.  Some of them even shifted to their wolf form. 

“That is a warm and loud welcome!” I heard my sister chuckle. 

After the howls died down Richard and I turned to the Elder. My mate told me that he is called Elder Fenris and is a millennium old, wise and well-respected wolf. There are 12 Elders, they don’t hold any rank or power, but because of their age and wisdom, they form a consultive assembly that can help the 12 packs inside the Realm and even Richard to take decisions, if they ask for their advice. They were all appointed by the Alpha King or Luna Queen; by Richard and before him, by his parents. 

“We are gathered here today to unite our Alpha King and his fated mate, Lea Clemence Lichtstern, before the Goddess, Realm, the people, and the land. Today our Realm rejoices finally having our Luna Queen, within us, as part of us.” The Elder said solemnly. 

Richard took my hand in his, unwrapping the towel and baring my fresh gush. He reinforced the cut he did in his own palm minutes ago (since it was already starting to heal), before he culched his palm in a fist and let feel drops on his blood leak into a ceremonial golden goblet. I did the same. 

The Elder mixed our blood with a green-colored concoction, giving it to Richard. My mate took a gulp from the goblet and I did the same (it surprisingly tasted sweet), while the Elder uttered more ceremonial words. “May the Goddess bless you with a thriving ruling together, filled with loyal packmates; wisdom to take the hardest decision; hope and an open heart to be able to see all the abundance and blesses surrounding you; patience and strength to face the times of scarcity and dread. May the Goddess bless you as mates, enlightening your love with prudence, spurting your shared bed with passion; and gifting you with the joy of fertility.” 

What a choice of words! Wolves are indeed very s****l, even in this ceremony! But I… I want to be his in all ways. 

Richard pressed our open flash together once more, and I enlaced my fingers with his. 

“We, Richard Corin Lupin and Titan, Alpha King, accept you Lea Clemence Lichtstern as our Luna and Queen; to rule alongside you and care for, protect, defend, and esteem our pack and Realm together. We swear to be your protector, your safe haven, your best friend, your family, your male, your lover, and your Alpha. Protectingyou against all dangers and dreads with our own life. Honouring, respecting, and being eternally loyal to you. Placing your needs and survival first, before anything. Provide for everything your body, soul, and heart may deem necessary. Walking by your side through life and eternity and loving you.” Richard and Titan said in unison. 

My heart swelled at his words, tears of love and joy leaked from my eyes. Those were the most beautiful things I’ve ever heard, and I love Richard so much! 

“I accept to be your Luna and Queen with all my heart, my love! I promise to a great Luna and queen for our pack and Realm and to be an amazing mate to you. From now on you are my King and Alpha!” I said with a smile, as I felt an even stronger jolt of energy flowing from Richard’s body to mine. 

The energy involved me, like an aura, and made me feel even more connected to him and this pack. I looked down at our joined hands and could see an almost invisible light surrounding it. 

Richard pulled me flush against his strong arms, leaning my body down in his arms, and crashed a kiss on my lips. The wolves started howling even louder, exploding in happiness. 

After we ended the kiss, Richard took my hand and we walked across the ‘aisle’ again, under the sound of happy squeals, howls, and claps. My eyes traveled to my mom and Liv, they looked so happy, my friends too! Now I have a lot of responsibility as Luna Queen, but I don’t worry so much, because I have even more love. I have Richard and all these amazing people here to walk through this journey by my side.

After the ceremony, Lea guided me to the dance floor, my Luna really enjoys dancing. I placed my hand on her waist and pulled her closer to me, pressing her soft curves against my stiff muscles. Having her this close made Titan howl in contentment inside my mind. 

My wolf was especially talkative and jumpy today. We finally have our Luna. But we still couldn’t claim her in the most primal way, as our female. That was unsettling Titan. 

We looked at her neck, Titan growled in my head, wanting to put his mark in its smooth milky skin. Mark her as ours. 

“We must mark Luna Mine. Make her ours for eternity.” Titan grumbled impatiently. 

“We must wait! I also hate it, but that is what we must do. If you act recklessly you will break our mate bond.” I scolded him. 

I wanted the same as him, make Lea ours immediately, f*ck her all night long. His grumbling wasn’t making it easier for me. 

He just sneered inside my mind; what is this conniving wolf planning? He kept himself from me, so I couldn’t feel it, sense it in our shared mind.

“Is everything okay, baby? Your eyes are glowing.”

Her soft voice didn’t soothe us like it normally does, this time it only added to our urge to pound our c**k deep inside her and feel her trembling and screaming our name underneath us.

“Don’t worry, Luna. Titan is on the surface, he wants to see you, be close to you.”

“Oh, maybe you can shift later, and I can cuddle or run with my wolf-bear.” She smiled. 

Wolf-bear. Titan didn’t complain, only rumbled a content growl that reverberated in my chest, making our Luna giggle.

“It isn’t a good idea. Titan is very agitated, a bit ... unsettled. He could jump you.” Titan was horny as f**k, that’s the truth. Lea beamed a sweet smile. 

The music changed, this time it was a slow song. She came even closer to me, her breasts pressed against my abs. My small female. I could feel her n*****s perking under her dress. I looked down at her eyes, an absurd and perfect mix between sweet innocence and deep lust. 

She licked her dry lips, my eyes entranced following the movement of her tongue. 

I dug my fingers on her waist and Titan howled like a wolf on rut once again.

“We’ve to find a way, Richard. I can’t wait. I know you can’t either.” Titan’s guttural voice resonated inside my mind. I’ve rarely heard him sounding so urgent, not even on the battlefield. Only when it was about our hate for Alexus. Or our love for Lea. 

“Stop it, Titan!” I scolded him again.

But damn, he was right. 

Her pheromones, the closeness, the sweet scent of her weeping p*ssy made the waiting even more of a torture. 

If it was up to Titan, we would take her to the deep of the forest right now, put her on all fours and f**k her. f**k her to oblivion.  

He also loves her and we both want to be patient, but we both could hardly wait. Especially him, I still have the filter of rationality telling me to don’t do it.

It would sever our bond. Even if we could do it without harming the bond, she isn’t ready. 

She smiled at me. Sweet, innocent Luna. She couldn’t even imagine the ravishing thoughts that were burning in my mind. Everything that I wanted to do to her.

Lea

After dancing to a couple of songs more with my Richard, I went around to greet all the guests. I was talking to Evolet, her pup Hector and the Lunas of some of the packs of the Realm.

“Your ceremony was so beautiful! I still remember mine, as if it were yesterday! It was one of the best days of my life!” Luna Petra said with a warm smile. I was very happy the other Lunas were welcoming and warm towards me, I feared that they would be wary or distant, due to the fact that I am not a she-wolf like them. 

“You should come to our monthly Luna’s meeting. They are great, we can take a break from our beloved mates.” She chuckled. “and vent a bit, only us females. It’s our little she-wolf pack!” Luna Petra added. 

“Thank you! I would love to!” I replied.

“No thank you required; you are one of us now!” Luna Michelle replied with a sweet beam. 

My attention was taken away from this lovely Lunas when a demon lady approached me. 

“Lea. Laius sent it to you.” The tall and beautiful Demon Lady that I think is called Scarlet said, as she gave me a golden box. I think she is one of Laius’s generals, I’ve seen her a couple of times when I visited Hell. Her name makes sense, she has beautiful and long scarlet red hair that cascades over her shoulders, reaching her hips. 

“Thank you.” I smiled and she walked away, without saying any further word. 

“Is she a witch, Luna Lea?” Tor, Evolet’s pup asked. His eyes were gleaming with curiosity. The cutie was just like me. 

“No sweetie, she is a demon,” I replied, ruffling his hair gently. 

He opened his mouth in a perfect “O”, “That is so cool and crazy!” he jumped, making his mom chuckle. 

After some of the she-wolves went to their mates and others to the wine fountain, I was left alone for a moment. So, I opened the little box and saw a bracelet and a letter. The bracelet was beautiful pink-gold and was adorned with many delicate flowers and a single white-gold wolf pendant. 

“Lelea,

I’m so sorry for what I did, I acted by impulse freeing Alexus. 

But know that I would protect you and never let you be in danger. You are part of my family. 

I’m also sorry that I can’t be in your Luna’s coronation ceremony, I don’t want to upset Sugar. 

I wish you a beautiful ceremony and hope you enjoy your night. That you have a night that’s about you above anyone else. 

This bracelet used to belong to another girl that loved flowers and made flowers grow all over Hell, just like Liv did. I’ve just added the wolf pendant to make it yours. 

Please take care and make sure my Sugar and the baby are fine. I hope to see you both soon.

I wondered who the flower girl was, and what was her relationship with Laius. 

I didn’t think for even a moment that he would put me in danger on purpose. I know he likes me as much as I like him. However, sometimes he acts in a very impulsive way and makes mistakes. His impulsive nature is what makes him ‘screw up’, as Liv would say.

I wish Liv would forgive him soon, I know that they are both suffering from being away from each other and that it goes beyond the bond and the mate withdrawal effects. It always hurt to be away from the ones you love. But I understand my sister, she is pushing him away not only because of what he did his time, it only added up to his other many betrayal and manipulations, like when he gave her a potion to convince her to stay in Hell with him easily. 

But I also know that Liv was that determined because she really loses it when someone threatens or hurt mom and me, her family; it affects her 100 times more than if someone would have hurt her. 

Besides that, she is doing this believing that it’s a way to protect her baby from an irresponsible and unreliable person as Laius was in this case. She is super protective when it comes to the baby or babies she is expecting, like a lioness mom guarding her cubs.

I was walking towards my mom; she was alone with Cali and Valentin sitting at one of the many tables and sipping her fairy wine.  

On my way there, I had another surprise. Another person that I didn’t expect was approaching me, Daisy. She was only a few steps away. I didn’t know she would come here today. 

“Oh Lea, it’s good to see you. Congrats on your coronation as Luna Queen!” Daisy said as she wrapped her arm around my shoulder in a half hug. 

I was a bit taken aback. She is acting oddly, she looked edgy and had a huge smile on her face as big as Liv used to have when she was with her three mates. When she wasn’t missing Laius. 

“I saw you dancing with Richard, you two make a very beautiful couple.” 

“Thank you,” I said as her words snapped me from my little reverie. 

“Richard seems a very good male, very worthy and everyone can see that he loves and treasures you.” She said with a smile. 

“Yes, he is. He is great.” I replied, even more confused by her words, her enthusiastic and flattering small talk. It was the extreme opposite of how she behaved in our last meeting when I went to Aureum for the first time. 

“So, why don’t you stay with him and let me be with Valentin? I’m very sure Richard will be enough for you. Valentin shouldn’t be sharing a mate, no one should. He should be with a female that loves and desires him only. 

Mates cannot share, maybe it works for a couple of months if you are lucky for a couple of years…but in the long run, it will end up destroying all of you. Specially Alphas, sharing is contrary to their instincts, their nature. Are you willing to submit Richard to such torture and the complete alienation of who he truly is? That is not love, that is selfishness.” She said shaking her head. She sounded like a teacher explained something to a child. 

But I was not a child.

I tried to swallow the lump that has formed in my throat and took a deep breath. “You are wrong, Daisy! Mates can share and that was the Goddess’ will.” I replied trying to sound as determined as I could. I won’t let her ruin my night. 

She was bitter, scorned, and probably not feeling so well. That was all on her, not on me, so I would do my best to not let her words affect me. 

“No one knows what the Goddess really wants Lea. Stop using the divine as an argument, as a justification for your own selfish choices.” She added and I sighed deeply. 

“Of course, it’s possible. My sister is the living proof of it.” I added. 

“Queen Livia could do it for few years, but not forever. As soon as her child is born and her mates that aren’t the father realize that she won’t be able to give them heirs; That two of them won’t ever have the same connection with her as the baby’s father has, their hostility and jealousy will grow and it will destroy their relationship, poison it.” Daisy said as she walked away, shaking her head and flashing me a knowing smile. 

I looked at Liv, she was dancing with Avalon; he had a soft smile plastered on his face, but my sister looked wary, a bit unsettled.

I just hope that what Daisy said isn’t true. Liv would find a way. But I know that my sister is worried about it. Liv fears that she won’t be able to give all her mates a child and as a consequence, they will resent each other, fight, and end up full of hurt and hatred.

That’s a reasonable fear, if the Goddess blesses her a lot, she will be able to have 2 children, but not more than that. Having more than 2 children is unheard of. 

Continuing my way towards Valentin and mom, I went to the other side of the garden. Valentin stood up swiftly and engulfed me in an embrace.

“You are so beautiful tonight, my Sunflower. A true queen.” He husked in my ear, before pressing a kiss to bellow my earlobe and sending a sweet shiver down my spine. “Soon, it will be the two of us,” Valentin added as we parted our hug. 

“I’m looking forward,” I replied. I was a bit nervous about taking the double responsibility, but on the other hand, I was looking forward to being his, his queen, and his female. 

I could notice that even though my mom was trying to avoid looking at dad, sometimes her gaze found him, probably in its own accord. 

I took a seat next to my mom, “Mom… how are you?” I asked. 

“I am fine sweetie. Don’t worry about me, it’s your day.” 

“But I am worried. You look sad, and we haven’t talked about it so far… Do you already know what to do about dad?” I asked as I took her hand on mine. I wasn’t sure if avoiding talking about it at all, was helping her the least. 

“We haven’t talked. He said he wants to, but he doesn’t explain anything, he doesn’t tell me his reasons. I don’t want to talk to him if we don’t have a real talk, the real talk.” Mom muttered. 

She was atypically blunt today; probably the fairy wine was making her express her emotions more than she usually does, once again. 

“But don’t worry, Lea. Let’s leave it aside for now. We both should enjoy your beautiful ceremony, sweetheart! I’m so proud of you! You’ll be a great and caring queen.” Mom’s eyes were slightly closed because of the wine, but now at least she had a genuine smile on her face.

“She surely will.” Valentin chimed in, giving me a loving look. 

I was glad that he and mom were getting closer lately. I knew that somehow, she also missed Laius, they were close as well.
