Chapter Thirty Four - Home truths

1160 Words

Kylan I had reached my breaking point with Nola’s father. He is still acting like a stubborn jackass, and it has been a couple of weeks since and the longer he stays away, the more upset Nola becomes. I refuse to continue to let her feel like that. I am on my way to Richard’s office, and I don’t care if he doesn’t want to see me. I made my way inside, not even stopping at reception, going straight for the elevator to his floor. I take a few deep breaths on the way, steady myself because the worst thing I can do is walk in there angry. It won’t help any. The elevator stops, and I step out, “Is Richard in?” I ask his receptionist, “Yes, but he is on a call, and I don’t think he wants to see you, Sir,” she replies nervously. I ignore her, walking straight in and barge into his office.
