I haven’t left her side since I woke up from the sedative, except for a quick shower in the connecting bathroom to her hospital room. Holly and Heather had informed me that I was beginning to smell like death from the rotten and dried blood that was still covering my body. Elaine had been showing Heather the special concoction of herbs that was being used to flush the silver from my mate’s body.
