"Riley?" I pivot in the hallway as I heard my name, looking to see nurse Hayley who hastened his steps to catch up to me and I turned on my heels, ready to walk towards him when... "Riley,"
I stopped in my tracks, as Trevor's voiced rang the hallway and I turned my head to the other end of the hallway to see him standing there with his hands folded against his chest.
I looked to my left, then to my right, wondering whose call I should yield first and how to avoid this unnecessarily awkward situation.
Nurse Hayley called me first, probably saw me before Trevor did. It was only right if I went to him and see why he called for me, but seeing the clear glare on Trevor's face and his stance was enough to tell me that following etiquette right now would be a wrong decision.
