I checked the time on my wristwatch and sighed. I woke up later than usual today. Although the treatment at the hospital a few days ago helped me feel better. The stomach ache, the fever and all reduced except for the extreme fatigue I feel all the time and the lethargic feeling that weighs down on me once I sleep. I hurried out of my room even if there isn’t much hurrying I can do with my bad leg.  I only have twenty-five minutes to get to school before the first bell rings. I made my way towards the front door.  The home phone rings and I halt, turning back to look in the phone direction while contemplating if I should answer it or not.
