Chapter 63: Cute

“Who are you texting?” John asked as he saw me giggling while replying with Nick. “It’s Nick.” I said and smiled evilly. “What are you doing with him now? You really like to tease him around.” Johns said after I replied with an evil smile. “It is so funny. The way he reacts? It is just something that I really like in the whole world.” I said to John. “Well, I kinda get you since I also feel the same as Nick, but I am not as hardworking as you.” John said to me.

John is actually saying that I am hardworking in trying to tease Nick every day. I mean I always will. 

(15 minutes later)

“Nice! We’re going home!!!” John shouted as if he would have a long vacation. “What are you doing?” I asked John who is near me. I thought my eardrums bled. Luckily, it didn’t. “Nothing. I just feel happy that I will see mom and dad now.” John said something fishy. I don’t think that he is telling the truth to me. “Well, minimize your voice please, you were shouting like forever.” I said to John.

I really don’t sometimes get the reason why we are still friends. Kidding! “John was my only friend that I really trusted. Now I have two, I think I am very blessed to have them both. 

“Let’s go!” John said cheerfully while wrapping his arm around my neck and walked together with me out of the club room. “Bye everyone!” John said as we finally set foot outside the club room. 

We walked and walked until we reached the place where Janice and Nick were. “Ni—..” John was not able to finish what he was about to say because I covered his mouth with my hand. “Wait!” I said to John. “What?!” John said as soon as I uncovered his mouth. “Shh! We will come and jump at Nick okay?” I said to John wanting to tease Nick again. Of course, everyday we should think of many ways to tease Nick. He is my favorite. 

“Cool! I like that.” John said and we simply walked little by little until we were near Nick’s back. We were acting like ninjas. I started counting 1-3 using my hands and without sound. John was just looking at my fingers' countdown. “1,2,3.” I mouthed. 

“Hi!” John and I said as we jumped on Nick. “Ouch!” Nick said as we fell on the ground. “Opps!” I said in my mind as we were on the ground. Nick might have been hurt. “What are you two playing?” Nick said as heI tried to stand up after falling. “Nothing!” I replied with a little worry. Nick just sounded so mad. He is freaking furious.

I looked at his knees, gladly he did not scratch his knee. “It was not my plan, it was Michael’s plan and we just went together with him.” John said. “Hmmph!” Nick sighed loudly as a reply to both me and John.

(Inside the car)

“Look, I am sorry. I mean it was my plan and you know we always do things right.” I said to Nick as he was being grumpy and not wanting to talk with me. “The thing is you are so cute.” I said to Nick which made him react. “Ew!” Nick reacted. “Finally, he said something.” I said to myself. I guess my thing worked. 

“What?! You really are and I am not lying, right Janice?” I said to ask Janice if she also will be the same as me and also to tease Nick more. I know that I should be apologizing here but I just feel like every minute is worth teasing Nick. 

“Yeah, he is really cute.” Janice replied. I bit my bottom lip because I was trying not to laugh. Guess everything is working with me right now. This is what I like. “No! Ew! Janice doesn't play together with Michael, you know he is just teasing me. You are my only help here.” Nick said to Janice begging for her help because of what Janice just said. “It is true Nick, you are really such a quite cute baby boy for me. Sometimes I even think that you look like a soft toy.” Janice said which made Nick turn his looks to another side. 

“Whatever!” Nick said shyly as he turned. “Hahaha! Come on, we are just telling the truth.” I said to Nick as I made him turn. “Get it off me.” Nick said and then he put on his earphones. 

The way he plays it off makes him cuter than he is. This is the main reason why he is cute and makes us want to tease him. We are just the same age, I know but the way he reacts to things seems so unique and innocent. I really like it. I know that the people around me are also thinking the same way that I do. 

“Fine! I will stop for now, okay?” I said to him but he is still not stopping and getting his earphones. “Fine, then I will continue when we go back home. Will you be okay with that?” I asked, trying to threaten him. I hope that it will work with him. “Okay. It is fine.” Nick replied immediately as soon as I finished my sentence.

"Nick doesn't know that taming him is the cutest." I said to myself as Nick started to come back to his proper seat. "Hmmm…” I replied back as if I was teasing him more but in a calm way this time. 

After I said that, I saw Nick tilting his head a little, his eyes up above and then released a big sigh without saying a word. I grinned and then tried to sit up straight while jumping a bit. 

“Michael!” Janice said loudly. “Sorry.” I replied back and smiled awkwardly at her. “Why are you jumping inside the car?” Janice said. “Tsk! Tsk! Tsk!” Janice added. 

I did not say anything and just behaved. 

“AhHhHHH!!!” Janice shouted loudly. I was moved by her loud voice and the driver suddenly stopped the car. 

I looked upfront and saw that there was an old woman walking with a walking cane. I also noticed that the grandma is having a hard time walking because she might not want the other drivers to find her as a problem.   

“Oh goodness gracious! I thought that we almost hit the old woman.” Janice said while calming her heart beat down. She was so shocked because she has been looking upfront, not like Nick and I. “Are you okay Janice?” I asked her as I noticed that she kept on rubbing her chest as if she was having a hard time breathing.

As far as I know, Janice is not that old but she might just easily have a hard time breathing after being in a shock. 

“I am okay. Wait, why is the door open?” Janice replied and asked at the same time when she noticed that the other side door of the car was already open. 

“Look.” The driver simply said and Janice and I were shocked to see what we saw. “Whaa!” I said and smirked as soon as I saw it.
