Lexi picks at her food , slowly chewing when her phone rings next to her . She glances at the screen , shoving the last bite of chicken strip into her mouth , Jason staring at her as she taps on the screen , lifting her phone to her ear .
“Hi Jess .” Lexi beams , trying to hide her exhaustion .
“Hi Lex , sorry to bother you but I need a favor .” Jess mutters guiltily .
Jess hated asking for favors , she has been doing good all on her own , until now .
“Yeah , what do you need?” Lexi asks concerned .
They weren’t the best of friends , but they had each other’s back .
“My sister is stuck at a party with friends and my car is in for a service and she wants to come home , she was suppose to stay over but she isn’t feeing good and the parents said they can’t drive and I just ..” Jess blow
